Automatic
or Remote Security Lighting
How to do it..........
-
Replace the
existing porch (or any other) light switch with an XPS3
20Amp Non-dimming Wall Switch, XPDI3 Dimming Wall Switch);
max 500W incandescent or if toggle style is required, use
the PLW01 Wall Switch; max. 500W incandescent only.
Additionally a PLM01 Plug-in Lamp Module can be used on an
internal lamp, using a standard incandescent bulb up to
300W.
-
Plug a PAT01
RF Base Transceiver into an indoor outlet located as near
to the front of the house as possible.
-
Use a PHR04
Wireless Keychain Remote to turn on lights as you approach
the front pathway or front door.
Optionally; Connect the PSC01 PowerFlash Interface
to the bell output or a programmable output on your
existing alarm panel to integrate alarm panel with lights.
This will turn ON/OFF or “Flash” the installed X10
Wall Switch (s) / Module (s) upon an alarm condition.
• Numerous,
prominent alarm system manufacturers produce security panels
with the X10 Protocol built into the system. The inherent
ability to output the X10 signal is further simplified using
the PSC04 One-Way Powerline Interface or the PSC05 Two-Way
Powerline Interface.
• Either
of these Interfaces connect to the alarm panel by a simple 4
conductor telephone cord.
Once connected the alarm panel can control multiple X10
Devices in variety of events.
This is usually programmed by the installer via the alarm’s
keypad.
