Remote Operation Landscape Lighting Transformers Typically, landscape lighting is operated via mechanical timers located inside the housing of the outside transformer. On any given job when the customer would like automatic ON/OFF times, the mechanical timer was the only option. A customer wanting to have the convenience of timed events would have to deal with the nuances of annual Dusk/Dawn changes and lost hours due to power failures requiring regular maintenance of the timer. Oh, and lets not forget daylight savings. If the install had more than one transformer, and the customer required a simultaneous event, or synchronization of transformers, a new hassle presented itself in that you could almost never get both timers to be perfectly synched. And once again, now you have two or more timers that need to be regularly maintained to keep them operating at the proper times. Take a look at X10 PRO, the simple solution to all your operational needs! X10 PRO is a manufacturer of easy to install Lighting and Appliance Control Modules that use the existing AC power lines in your home to communicate. For Landscape Lighting, the resolution to the above headaches can be achieved using a simple plug-in Receiver called an Appliance Module and an in-home Controller named the Digital Clock Timer. Installation is quick and easy, and a snap for one, two or multiple transformers. At the transformer, plug-in a 3 Pin Appliance Module (model PAM02) then plug the switched transformer plug in to the Module. The coding on the Appliance Module will be set to match that of the Digital Clock Timer placed in the home.
