Electrical Applications

Easily creating 3 and 4-way switching; when there are no spare wires existing...
How to do it..........

  1. Replace the existing wall switch with an XPS3 20 Amp Switch,
or the XPDI3 500 Watt Dimmer Switch.

  2. In the new remote switch location (s), install a single gang switch box, pulling in a hot and neutral wire from any convenient location. This is usually accomplished by pulling wire from an outlet nearby the new remote switch location (s).

  3. Install an XPT1 -1 Button Base Controller and set the Code Wheels to match the
    X10 PRO Switch.

• For three & four way switching, install an additional XPT1 Base-Transmitter and Keypad.
• For dimming install an XPT2D Base-Transmitter having ON/OFF plus Dimming Buttons.

Each Base Transmitter and Keypad will now control the master switch, creating a “virtual” three way or four way circuit.

Installation Options...
• If the original switch that you are replacing is a toggle style switch, than use the PLW01 Toggle Switch replacement Max 500W, incandescent lighting only.

• New lighting (without a wall switch) can be controlled using the hard-wired XPFM,
Non-Dimming 15A Module or the XPDF, 300W Incandescent Dimmer Module.

• If the lighting you are wanting to operate is plugged into an outlet, then you can install the PAOll Half-Split Receptacle and plug the lighting into the X10 Controlled half of the outlet.

• If you cannot get hot and neutral to the new location, then use the PHW04D Stick-on Wall Controller with dimming. It transmits commands via radio the PAT01 Base Transceiver plugged into an outlet.
The PAT01 places the signals on the AC power line to switch the installed Modules.
